Hello!
My name is Doug Fultz, and I have the honor of serving as the Cub Master for Cub Scout Pack 311.
Cub Scouts is a family-oriented experience where all our Scouts strive to become better citizens, enjoy the outdoors, and grow as individuals. The entire family should enjoy being part of our Pack. Our advancements through Den ranks offer age-appropriate opportunities for families to engage in a variety of activities and connect with their community. Whether it’s through family camping trips or touring a local police station, we aim to make every moment enjoyable for all family members.
Fun is a key component of all our meetings. We understand what it’s like to be a kid and focus on making our activities as interactive as possible. A great example is our annual Sock Wars event. Scouts bring in new socks and sweat outfits, and the children have a snowball fight using the socks. Afterward, we ensure all the clothes are clean and donate them to the annual Sweats for Vets drive. This way, the Scouts have fun while learning the importance of community service.
I appreciate your interest in our pack and would love to answer any questions you may have. Come for a visit at one of our Pack meetings (large K- 5th group) or Den meetings (age-based group) to see what we’re all about. We meet at Catoctin Elementary on the 3rd Thursday of every month at 6:30 pm.
I am looking forward to meeting you and your family!
